.

An Inside Look at The Best Way to Gain Muscle

Gaining muscle is what every guy nowadays is trying to achieve. Whether you’re trying to get biceps or triceps, it’s very possible to get bigger naturally and within a short amount of time.

The best way to gain muscle is to combine a variety of exercises and try benefiting from each one individually. If you look at some of the best training programs on gaining muscle, you’ll notice that they always combined a variety of exercises to achieve the ultimate body that would gain strength everywhere.

Gaining muscle through weight training

The best way to gain muscle is to do lots of weight training throughout the week. You don’t want to do it everyday, as that can really damage your body and actually decrease the amount of results from showing.

Try combining a mix of dumbbells, squats with weights, and even bench pressing whatever you can handle. Do not over exaggerate the process and go straight into everything all at once. Develop a strong workout program that you can handle and start adding more weights gradually as you progress.

Do a variety of exercises

What most people tend to believe is that simply lifting weights is already good enough to lose weight, but that is not the best way to gain muscle. You have to make sure that you not only build muscle mass, but also your core strength, stamina, and agility.

If you didn’t know, the P90X program (a popular program) actually consists of not only weight training and cardio, but also a mix of yoga and plyometrics. So, try to incorporate those types of exercises and workouts into your overall regimen.

Most guys who are constantly lifting weights will usually forget about their core strength and abs, so they end up with a big stomach that flabs out and huge arms. So, it’s vital that you combine everything to get the really healthy and strong look that’s not only in the arms, but also the entire body.

Tips when working out

One question I get asked about from people looking for the best way to gain muscle is whether or not they should do cardio. Some people think they should ditch it all together because they think it will counter their efforts to pack on muscle.

Bottom line, you need to do cardio – it’s important for your health. What I recommend is to do cardio 2-3 times a week and don’t do it right after or before weight training. For someone trying to gain muscle, I would recommend doing 30-40 minute cardio sessions.

Best Way To Gain Muscle – Final Thoughts

It may be hard to really find out what the best way to gain muscle is, but the more you educate yourself on the topics above and following the tips given, you can be on your way to a strong body that would look perfect on the beach. It does take time to see big results, but it’s worth it in the end when you realize that your body has gained in muscle mass.

So, keep working hard and implement as much as you can above. They are surely going to help you to start gaining more muscle and you’ll find your way towards the best way to gain muscle!

If you’re curious how to put on weight, the first thing to know is that it is possible! I know first hand – I used to be a skronny little twig!

Even if you have tried different things to gain weight without any success, I want you to know that you can pack on those pounds that you’re looking for.

How To Put On Weight (even if you’re skinny!)

Now if you’re wondering how to put on weight, then I’m sure you’ve already thought of the obvious – EAT EAT EAT!!

And you couldn’t be more right – if you want to pack on weight, then you need to eat – and a lot!

But even though this sounds obvious, most people fail at this crucial step. They might eat a big meal here or a big meal there, but they don’t actually map out a meal plan and make sure that they are consuming enough calories on a daily basis.

You need to be committed to eating a lot of clean calories and doing this everyday. It’s not enough just to “try” to eat a lot – you need to have a meal plan mapped out!

And your diet can’t just be crap. You want to pick good, quality calories. For anyone wondering how to put on weight, I can’t stress enough how you need to skip the big macs and reach for the good stuff.

This means lots of chicken, lots of complex carbohydrates, lots of healthy fats – the key word here is LOTS!

And just to clarify what some of the healthy fats are – some examples are olive oils, flaxseed oils, nut butters, avocados ,fish oils etc. What’s nice is that there are fats that your body can put to good use AND fats are dense in calories – a plus for those wondering how to put on weight.

How to put on weight (cont)

The next key tip is to make sure that not only are you eating alot, but that you’re eating often. You should be eating at least 6 times a day.

And this doesn’t mean that you pig out and eat a ton each time. Instead you want to be eating 300-600 calories each time so that you body is constantly getting new calories.

And of course, you can find some good supplements that should make this easier. Look for some well ranked weight gain powders. These can make it easy to get in 500 – 1000 calories in one shake.

I think this is not only an important subject, but such a common question that I’m going to be writing another post soon that follows up on this one. So look out for part 2 of how to put on weight!

Recently I’ve been getting a lot of emails from people asking what the best protein powder is. If you’re curious about what protein powder is the best choice to help you meet your fitness goals, hopefully this article helps!

Let’s take a look at the different types of protein powders. There’s a lot of variety on the market, so it’s easy to get confused!

An Inside Look at the Best Protein Powder

Whey protein is the most common form of protein powder out there. It’s extremely inexpensive – you can get some incredible deals. It is derived from milk – when milk is being processed into cheese, whey protein is collected and separated.

You can find two main types of whey protein powders – whey protein concentrates (the most common and least expensive) and whey protein isolates. Concentrated powders are about 75% protein in weight.

Whey protein isolates on the other hand are typically at least 90% pure protein. They also contain the lowest amount of fat and carbohydrates. These are of a higher quality and are better absorbed by your body. However, the pricetag is more expensive than concentrated protein powder.

It’ a lot higher quality than whey protein and in my opinion, the best protein powder out there.

I personally use ultimate nutrition’s ISO Sensation 93. It’s the best protein powder in my books because it’s high quality, tastes great, mixes easily and isn’t very expensive.

Micellar casein protein is a slow absorbing protein. It has received a lot of positive press after studies have shown that it can help keep amino acid levels in the body elevated for up to 7 hours. This can help to prevent muscle breakdown and speed up recovery levels.

Finally, soy protein is intended for people that are lactose intolerant. It is derived from soya beans and therefore does not contain any milk products.

So what’s the best protein powder?

Well, unless money isn’t an issue, you’re best to stick to whey protein concentrates.

Because there are so many supplement companies that make this type of powder, the prices have dropped dramatically in recent years. It’s a great way to provide your body with the muscle building protein it needs and won’t hurt your wallet.

Isolate whey protein is a better quality, but it’s typically at least twice as expensive. If you’re extremely serious about packing on the muscle and money isn’t an issue, go ahead and give it a shot. It’s worth the extra cash to me, but it isn’t for everyone.

Personally, I use both concentrate and isolate proteins. I will take the concentrate in the morning and at night, and use the isolate right after my workout. This reduces the amount of money I spend on my protein but ensures I get the highest quality protein right when my muscles need it the most.

At the end of the day, any protein is good protein. It’s an important part of anyone’s workout plan (at least it should be!)

Go out and get yourself the best protein powder your wallet can afford and then hit the weights!

Check out the above video for keys to building muscle fast

If you’re hunting for the best supplements for muscle gain then you’re not alone! It’s probably the one question I get the most from people – “what supplements should I take?”

And the supplement industry has exploded in recent years with all sorts of new products out there. This has made it easy to get confused about which supplements are truly useful and can help you build muscle quickly.

So with that in mind, let’s take a look at….

The Best Supplements For Muscle Gain

At the end of the day, I believe anyone that is serious about packing on muscle can benefit from 3 main supplements:

1) Protein Powder

This is the granddaddy of all supplements because it should be a staple in anyone’s supplementation. Protein is so critical in building muscle and even though you can find it in many foods like chicken or tuna, protein powder is the easiest way to take in protein without anything else.

And it’s so cheap now! I personally use isolate protein powder (I pay $50 for 5lbs) but if you’re tight on cash you can use regular whey protein powder. This should run you about $30-$40 for 5lbs.

If you can only afford one supplement, make it protein powder. It’s on the list of best supplements for muscle gain for good reason!

2) Creatine

Creatine has been around for years now and it continues to help people pack on muscle quicker than they normally would be able to. For myself, it gave a huge boost to my strength and I was lucky to see some terrific results.

And I’m definitely not the only one, making creatine land on the list of best supplements for muscle gain.

If you want to stick to basic, just look for creatine monohydrate. It’s incredibly cheap when you buy it on it’s own.

However there are a ton of other “supplement cocktails” that include creatine. There is a ton of “preworkout” supplements that are meant to be taken before you hit the gym. These will typically include energy boosters (like caffeine), amino acids and creatine.

These end up being a lot more expensive per serving, so depending on your budget, you might want to just stick with creatine on it’s own. You can easily add it to your protein shake.

3) Beta Alanine

This is the third and final supplement to make it to the list of best supplements for muscle gain. Beta-Alanine has gotten a lot of attention in recent years and for good reason!

This amino acid has proved to be amazing when it comes to building strength, improving recovery times and overall results from weight lifting sessions.

I personally use a product called “intrabolic” which contains beta-alanine and a bunch of other ingredients. It’s a shake that I drink during my workout and I’ve enjoyed the results from it.

But you can buy beta-alanine in powder form (or pill form) without any other fillers. This makes it cheaper.

Final thoughts on the best supplements for muscle gain

At the end of the day, these three supplements are what I consider to be the best supplements for muscle gain. I’ve seen terrific results from all three of them and they aren’t just some fancy new product that some company is pumping with creative marketing.

Don’t fall for all the fancy ads that are out there for the “next big thing”. The best supplements for muscle gain have been giving weightlifters results for years and can easily be incorporated in your routine.
